Sophia Curvy: an "old" story, a "new" mission
Sophia Curvy, at Successori Bernagozzi, has been working in the fashion industry since 1930 in Bologna, Italy, from the idea of Italian fashion in the production of large and oversized greats to bring up to size 68 (German size 62).
The concept design is based on careful research, observing future trends in the most creative fashion cities such as Milan, London and New York.
For us, the ultimate success depends on the right balance between fit, model, color and the characteristics and characteristics of the fabric.
After making a first draft, we examine the fit for the different sizes.
Not all models can be made up to size 68, by simply making the cut larger, because then the proportions are no longer correct.
Our goal is, thanks to our expertise, to make even the most demanding models wearable through well thought-out adjustments.
Sophia Curvy offers two collections a year: autumn-winter and spring-summer, which are ordered in advance. In addition, many items are available to be reordered for our customers during the season while 4-5 items "prèt à porter" based on current trends are produced weekly.
To market our label, we use a network of agents who supply specialized shops and boutiques.
Over the years, we have not only covered all regions in Italy, but also consolidated our presence in France, Belgium, Holland and Russia. We have participated in several international fairs, including eight seasons at the Panorama fair in Berlin and at the CPM in Moscow and at the WFC Big Brands in Amsterdam; also, to Moma a Spanish fair.
Our collections surprises with flowers and floral motifs, new color compositions and Lurex, which unexpectedly combine with classic fashion fabrics for a trend-conscious, active yet romantic and dreamy woman.
For a modern queen - elegant and somewhat aggressive, shades of black from the interplay of paillettes and pearls with metal elements, are lit up.
